The primary goal of the Senior Information and Assistance Center (SIAC) is to provide accurate information on the availability of services for older adults and their caregivers. Our professional staff is ready to help individuals and families develop comprehensive plans of action that help older adults achieve their long-term goals of maintaining independence.
The 2014 Yellow Book: Senior Information and Assistance Directory ("Yellow Book"), published by the SIAC, offers information on hundreds of services for older adults in El Paso, Park and Teller counties. In publication for over 25 years, the Yellow Book is available through the PPACG Area Agency on Aging, as well as at other distribution points in the community (such as senior centers and libraries). From adult day care and classes to transportation and visual impairments, older adults and their caregivers will find provider listings, descriptions of services, and contact information for hundreds of essential services.
The Area Agency on Aging has established a Network of Care website for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities. The Network of Care is specifically focused on providing information about resources for seniors and adults with disabilities in the Pikes Peak region and also contains a library of artilces on topics of interest, a legislative tracker for related legislation at both state and federal levels, an assistive devices market place, and much more.
