PPACG has completed a comprehensive plan for the town of Alma.
The draft version of the plan was sent in late July 2016 for review, final comments, and approval. Release of the draft plan followed the third and final public outreach meeting, held on Wednesday, July 6, at the Alma Town Hall.
This meeting and the comment period that followed provided citizens with an opportunity to review and comment on the plan. PPACG received a number of insightful comments, which were considered and incorporated into the plan. A summary of all comments received and staff responses are included in Appendix I of the plan.
PPACG was awarded a grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs to develop a comprehensive plan for the town of Alma, CO. The town’s first plan was developed by PPACG in 1999.
The specific purposes of the plan are to:
- Profile the current conditions of Alma.
- Analyze current trends and forecast future trends.
- Create a vision that identifies what Alma wants to become and how it wishes to develop.
- Develop implementation strategies to help Alma achieve its vision.
