Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) has formed a partnership group for each of the sectors being evaluated in the Fort Carson Regional Growth Plan. These groups are made up of industry leaders and subject-area experts who provide valuable input into the evaluation and planning process.
Partnership Group roles and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide subject matter expertise and help coordinate the planning effort with their counterparts in both the military and other regional entities.
- Provide assessments and recommendations to PPACG and Colorado Defense Mission Coalition (CDMC) on requirements and actions to be included in the Fort Carson Regional Growth Plan.
- Identify issues that require further research, resources, planning or other actions in Phase II of the Plan.
- Serve as the lead entities in implementing the recommendations of the Plan.
During Phase Two of the Plan, the following partnership groups are being convened:
- Adult Education/Workforce
- Child Development
- Economic Impacts and Development
- Education (K-12)
- Health and Behavioral Health
- Housing
- Planning and Zoning
- Public Safety
- Quality of Life/Sustainability
- Social Services
- Transportation
- Utilities (as needed)
