In order to improve communication and coordination between Fort Carson and community-based service providers, PPACG facilitates Fort Carson-led training events approximately once per calendar quarter. The following trainings have been conducted to date:
- May 6, 2011: PPACG and Trilogy Integrated Resources conducted a 90-minute workshop for military installation representatives and off-post service providers on the features and functionality of the Network of Care site.
- October 15, 2010: Dr. George Brandt (COL, Ret.) led a discussion on Military Family Resiliency.
- September 16, 2010: Army 101 training at the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado (AASC) September luncheon.
- May 21, 2010: Mr. Douglas Lehman, LCSW, provided training on the effects of the deployment on family members, including signs of stress, talking to children about war, and creating successful post-deployment reunions.
- February 8, 2010: CPT Samuel Preston, 4th Infantry Division psychiatrist, provided training on the Army Force Generation Cycle, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and the balance between safety and privacy.
