As the number of troops and family members in the region increases and deployments continue, the demand for medical, behavioral health, and social services also increases. The Growth Plan helps identify existing resources and networks as well as recommends improvements based on quantitative analysis and input from military families.
The Phase II Growth Plan assessed the ability of existing health care/behavioral health services to meet the increased demands associated with the increase in troops and their family members. A key component of this includes improving the intake process, particularly for off-post behavioral health and social services, to make it more efficient, coordinated and easily accessible.
The Medical, Behavioral Health, and Social Services Partnership Group meets on a regular basis.

Phase III Overview – ongoing implementation (July 2010)
PPACG continues to work with Fort Carson and off-post stakeholders to assess impacts and monitor, update, and implement the Growth Plan recommendations. As part of the implementation efforts, PPACG launched the Network of Care for Service Members, Veterans, & Their Families to provide a broad range of web-based resources, including an on-line searchable service directory, a library of health and veteran-related articles, community announcements, employment information, legislative information, and care coordination features.
PPACG has also initiated a strategic planning process to develop a Military System of Care collaborative to assist service members, veterans, and family members in the Pikes Peak region. Please click here for more information on the strategic planning effort.
