PPACG studies new gate at Fort Carson
Colorado Springs, CO–The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) has released the DRAFT Improvements Study to Facilitate Access to Fort Carson Gate 19 for public review. The draft plan is available on the PPACG website. Public comments are accepted through the website.
The improvements study, which is based in part on a preliminary assessment conducted by El Paso County in 2008, encompasses the Charter Oak Ranch Road and Santa Fe Avenue corridor west of I-25 Exit 128 south and west to Fort Carson Gate 19. The study identifies those areas and properties that could be impacted by a future Charter Oak Ranch Road/Santa Fe Avenue road improvement project. The report, which includes alignment alternatives and conceptual roadway design sections, is organized so that appropriate sections can be inserted directly into a future federal compliance document.
The public comment period ends on January 24, 2012. Please send all questions and comments to Joe Hanke at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 719-471-7080 ext. 106.
