PPACG conducts research on diverse topics such as affordable housing, economic development, land use, and the environment. Examples of recent studies include the 2004 Senior Transportation and Demographic Study, 2005 El Paso, Park and Teller Counties Demographic and Economic Profiles, and 2006 Regional Housing Affordability Study.
The 2006 housing affordability study describes the ability of first time, median income, and repeat home buying households to afford median priced homes in the Pikes Peak region. Based on 2000 Census data, the study offers a regional perspective on affordable housing, complementing other housing studies at the county, city, town, and neighborhood level. .
As the repository for data from the U.S. Census and the Colorado Demographer's Office, PPACG also compiles a range of statistics for the three-county region.
