Chapter 2- Planning Process and Public Involvement

This chapter discusses PPACG’s public involvement process and the steps taken to maximize public participation & stakeholder feedback in the development of the 2045 plan.

Chapter 3- Performance Report

This chapter is the PPACG system performance report, which outlines where we are now (baseline condition), where we want to go (targets), how we propose to get there (targets, strategies and project selection) and then finally, how we plan to monitor and adjust, as needed, to make progress.

Chapter 4- Future Regional Development 

This chapter examines possible regional growth scenarios and their affects on the transportation system.

Chapter 5- Regional Transportation Needs

This chapter provides a framework for the development, operation, and management of the transportation system within the larger context of the area’s social, economic, mobility, and environmental goals and needs.

Chapter 6- Financial Plan

This chapter presents an approximate yet realistic estimate of both the total funds available and total program costs related to maintenance, operations and capital projects.

Chapter 7- Implementation Plan

This chapter discusses the priorities that PPACG used when selecting specific projects for the region. This chapter includes the fiscally constrained list of projects as well as the unfunded project list.

Chapter 8- Systems Management and Operations

This chapter discusses PPACG’s strategies for managing existing infrastructure to improve efficiency and economy of the regional transportation system.

Chapter 9- Technology

This chapter reviews new and emerging technologies will play an increasing role in the transportation system over the next 20 years. Private vehicles, public transportation, and active transportation are all expected to undergo a transformation over the next few years.

This chapter provides the context for transportation-related deaths and injuries in the Pikes Peak Region and outlines strategies to address these issues.

Chapter 11- Security

This chapter focuses on strategies related to emergency preparedness including mitigation, evacuation, emergency response and recovery.

Chapter 12- Freight & Commodity Flows

This chapter discusses freight transportation in the Pikes Peak Region. It identifies key regional corridors and truck routes.

Chapter 13- Public Health & Transportation

This chapter considers the health impacts of transportation policies and decisions.

Chapter 14- Mitigation & Monitoring 

This chapter discusses how land use, water quality and natural resource concerns play into the transportation planning and decision making process.

Chapter 15- Air Quality Conformity 

This chapter discusses air quality conformity in the Pikes Peak Region.
