As the Pikes Peak region’s federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) is responsible for managing federal, state, and local transportation funds through a document called the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is a short-range (four-year) plan that implements the Long Range Transportation Plan’s (LRTP’s) goals and identifies the specific transportation projects the region will allocate with its federal, state, and local funds.
The draft FY2023-2027 TIP was released for public comment by the PPACG Board of Directors on October 13, with comments being accepted from October 15, 2021 through November 12, 2021. PPACG staff will hold two public open house meetings and will be accepting comments throughout the public comment period. Public open house meetings will be held on October 25th at 11 AM (via Zoom) and on November 4th from 4:30-5:30pm at 14 S Chestnut St, 80905. More details can be found at the link above. There will be a public hearing at the PPACG Board of Directors Meeting on December 8, 2021 at 9:00 AM.
All comments received will be made available on the PPACG website after the public comment period ends. The comments received will be used during the approval process by staff and by the PPACG Board of Directors. Details on the FY2023-2027 TIP will remain available on the PPACG website and may be made available in alternative formats or languages upon request.
