COLORADO SPRINGS – The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments has developed its Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Unified Planning Work Program. As required by federal transportation planning regulations, the UPWP specifies transportation planning activities that will be undertaken by the metropolitan planning organization and includes a description of the planning work and resulting products, who will perform the work, timeframes for completing the work, the cost of the work, and the source(s) of funds. Per federal regulations, PPACG develops a new UPWP every two years.
The draft UPWP will be released for public comment on July 17, 2023, with comments being accepted from July 17, 2023, through August 16, 2023. The draft document can be found on at ppacg.org/transportation/unified-planning-work-program-upwp/.
All comments received will be made available on the PPACG website after the public comment period ends. The comments received will be used during the approval process by staff and by the PPACG committees and Board of Directors. Details on the UPWP will remain available on the PPACG website and may be made available in alternative formats or languages upon request.
